About Theta & the newest release
Theta is a Post-Processing Filter (or PPFilter) for Assetto Corsa. It's by no means a perfect filter, but it does look surprisingly good and as of the end of July 2023 it has almost 3500 users. Currently it's on version 1.2 which includes a brand new LUT, reworked Lua, improved depth of field for screenshots and fully-functioning bugless volumetric lighting for Pure and Sol. I made this site to gather all of my stuff into one place like contact info, an install tutorial, my email etc. I just gave it a reskin, a new domain, and a light mode. Next time I'm bored I'll make a headline kinda thing where the sidelinks are to post updates. If you find any bugs just email me and I might respond, I don't really check my email.
Installation
Performance 

Due to the design of this website, I don't have the room to insert pictures. If you don't have Content Manager installed, you're going to want to watch this Youtube tutorial, because it's slightly complicated if you don't have those installed. If you do have CM, CSP, and Pure/Sol installed, ignore that. Just drag and drop the zip you got from the RaceDepartment download anywhere into Content Manager. Notice the icon in the top right turn yellow and do a little animation. Click on that and select Install. Now navigate to Settings>Assetto Corsa>Video and locate the Filter drop-down in the top right. You should find some version of Theta in there. Select it and you should be good to go.

 

Now Theta is pretty demanding, because I don't know how to make lower settings. Sorry for your PCs. It should run good on 20-30-40 series RTX cards and whatever the AMD equivalent is at at least over 60FPS at 1080p. I've got a 3080 with a 5800x on a 1080p screen and I just got 150FPS at Laguna Seca loading 7 high quality mods.

Theta 1.2 is very good in most environments but can look too bright and washed out around noon. If you want to lower the brightness use the Pure Config app. The other problem is around golden hour.. when the sunlight isn't particularly golden. Theta 1.3 is in the works (29/7/2023) and I'm hoping to get it out before September when I'll be back in school lol.
